Itinerary
- Pick up from your Hotel: The day starts with a good breakfast at their respective hotels, our transportation and guide will pass at 9:50 a.m. It is important to be 10 minutes early in the hotel lobby.
- Huaca Pucllana Pyramid: Also called the great pyramid, you can see a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca temple from the IV century AD. this pyramid has 7 platforms, and on each platform has an L-shaped square, draws much attention as it was built,
- Museum of the Central Reserve Bank: Visit the Museum of the Central Reserve Bank, admiring the exhibition of ancient cultures of Peru, with a select exhibition of objects from the Cohen Gold collection.
- The museum has three exhibition areas, the archeology room, where you can find ceramics, textiles, pieces of gold and wood from the Vicus, Moche, Chancay, Inca,
- Lambayeque, Nazca, Chimú and Chavín cultures.
- The Pinacoteca of Manuel Moreyra Loredo, in which are different tendencies, schools and techniques of the Peruvian painters of the XIX, XX and XXI centuries.
- Popular arts room where fabrics, mantles, pouches, ceramics, among other items that represent the different regions of Peru are shown.
- Plaza Mayor: Enjoy a walk through the Plaza Mayor observing the Cathedral, Government Palace and the Municipal Palace as well as the visit to the San Francisco Monastery and its Catacombs.
- Monastery of San Francisco and Catacombs: Under the church of San Francisco in the City of Lima, there is a catacomb which is deposited the bones of, it is estimated, about 70,000 people, some of them arranged in a decorative way. These catacombs were rediscovered in 1943 and it is believed that they can be connected through underground passages with the cathedral and other local churches. This experience is unique to all visitors.
- Convent of Santo Domingo: Santo Domingo Convent where the Great Library, Main Cloister and the chapels of the Santos Peruanos are shown: Santa Rosa de Lima and San Martín de Porres. It was considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1991.
- Lunch in Miraflores: After lunch at Miraflores restaurant, our guides will guide you to the center of Lima. During this part of the tour we present the oldest places and buildings of the Historic Center of Lima.
- Barranco and Puente de los Suspiros: Crossing the Armendáriz bridge, is Barranco, Lima’s bohemian district par excellence. Over the years, intellectuals have been home in Lima, such as the writer Mario Vargas Llosa, Fernando de Szyszlo and Chabuca Granda. Barranco is the center of nightlife thanks to its traditional bars and emblematic clubs.
Return to your Hotel: Once you have completed a full day of activities and visit the different places, our transportation will take you to your respective hotel.
Note: Cathedral of Lima closed Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning. Religious and civic holidays consult by admission to Santo Domingo and Cathedral of Lima.
