Itinerary

Day 1: International Arrival – Lima

Welcome to Lima.

Upon arrival you will be assisted at the Lima airport and then transferred to your hotel.

Accommodation at selected hotel in Lima.

Day 2 Lima

Visit the city of Lima: Historic Center, Santo Domingo Convent and Larco Museum (Half day tour)

You will visit the modern and colonial part of Lima, “The City of Kings”, starting with the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro and passing by a huaca or pre-Inca sacred place, before heading to the Historic Center. There, you will go through some of the most important streets in the history of the city, which will lead you to the Plaza Mayor, where you can enjoy and take pictures of some of the main examples of colonial architecture. You’ll also get a glimpse of an iconic building* that has served the people of Lima for centuries and continues to be an important cultural space to this day. In addition, you will visit the Santo Domingo Convent, one of the most important colonial-style religious buildings. After exploring the historic center, you will head to the Larco Museum, which houses the unsurpassed private collection of Treasures from Ancient Peru.

  • On Mondays, the House of Literature is closed, so an alternative visit will be provided on those days*

Day 3: Lima – Cusco

Traslado desde su hotel en Lima hasta el aeropuerto para abordar su vuelo con destino a Cusco

* Se recomienda tomar un vuelo que llegue antes de las 11am a Cusco.

A su llegada será asistido en el aeropuerto de Cusco y luego trasladado a su hotel

13:00 Visita de medio día: Mercado San Pedro, Templo de Korikancha, Catedral, Sacsayhuamán, Kenko

Visitará la ciudad del Cusco, conocida también como la Ciudad Imperial y declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Empezará su recorrido en el icónico Mercado de San Pedro, donde explorará los colores, aromas y tradiciones del Cusco contemporáneo. Continuará hacia el Templo Koricancha, un antiguo palacio inca y centro de culto al dios Sol, sobre el cual la orden de los dominicos construyó una iglesia que se mantiene en pie hasta hoy. Continuará ascendiendo hasta la Fortaleza de Sacsayhuamán, una imponente muestra de la arquitectura militar incaica. Luego de este recorrido profundizará en la arquitectura Inca visitando el sitio arqueológico de Q’enko, para finalmente ser trasladado hacia la Plaza de Armas, donde visitará la Catedral, el templo católico más importante de la ciudad.

Day 4: Cusco – Sacred Valley

Essence of the Sacred Valley: Chincheros, Textile Session and Ollantaytambo (Full Day Tour)

You will head to Chinchero to visit the PARWA Center, where you can appreciate beautiful textiles and even buy some to take home. Later, panoramic view of the Chinchero church, which was built by the Spanish in 1607 and remains standing to this day. You will continue with the visit to the ruins of Chinchero, where you will find an important Inca center in which terraces and aqueducts were built. Then, you will make a stop at the Raqchi Viewpoint, from where you will have a panoramic view of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Afterwards, you will head towards the town of Ollantaytambo, where you will find the imposing Inca fortress that bears the same name. This place is of great historical importance, as it is where Manco Inca defeated the Spanish forces in 1538. Then, you will descend to the town of Ollantaytambo, which stands out for still maintaining Inca urban planning as part of its original urban layout, with some buildings and narrow stone streets. You can tour the town and visit the local market.

Day 5: Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu

Visit to Machu Picchu by Voyager or Expedition train (Full day tour)

You will visit one of the most important world tourist landmarks: Machu Picchu. The excursion will begin on board the train, which will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu town. The beauty of the natural landscapes that you will see along the way will make this train trip the best start to your visit. Once there, you will begin your ascent to the citadel, where you will undoubtedly live one of your most unforgettable experiences. When you are in Machu Picchu, you will be able to explore every corner of one of the Seven Wonders of the World, in addition to enjoying free time to explore the area on your own, relax and take impressive photos. Then, you will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes, to settle in your hotel.

Day 6: Machu Picchu – Cusco

Visit to Machu Picchu (Second entrance optional)

You will have the morning free and you will be able to visit Machu Picchu for the second time, this time to walk on your own, relax in the place or take impressive photos. Afterwards, you will descend again to the town of Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon, you will board the train that will take you back to Cusco through the corresponding station. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 7: Cusco – International Departure

At the scheduled time you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight.
